The Valar and Maiar
When the Ainur were decended upon the world Arda They were split up into two factions.the Maiar (The more numerous) and the Valar. The Valar are the creaters of the Eagles. The Valar were the strongest and there number was fifteen. Manwe is one of them. The names of the Valar are Manwe Lord of wind. Ulmo lord of water. Mandos Lord of the dead. His halls are where dead elves go when they die.They will go to the halls of Mandos when the world ends. Varda lady of the stars. Manwes wife and also made the stars. Yavanna Lady of fruits. She made the forests and plants and made the trees of the Valar. Her greatest deed. Aule the smith. Husband of Yavanna and made the mountains and made the first gems and stone. Also creator of dwarves. Nienna the weeper. Mandos sister and her tears can heal wounds. When the trees of the Valar were destoryed by Melkor she tried to use her healing powers but the wounds to the tree were to deep. Orome Tamer of beasts. Loved by Hunters and he bred the first ever horse Nahar.Tulkas the strong. Nessas wife.Tulkas never fought with weapons. These are the most powerful Valar. These are the weaker ones. Vana ever young. wife of Orome and younger sister of Yavanna. Nessa the dancer. Oromes Sister and loves the woodland creatures and usually dances before the Valar. Lorien The dream master. Like Mandos Lorien is named after her home. Her place is in the gardens of Lorien the most beatiful gardens and she is king of Dream and vision. Este the healer. She is praised by all and her gifts are most oftendesired by those who are suffering. Vaire the weaver. Wife of Mandos she is always weaving in the halls of Mandos. Melkor he who arises in might. He owned in on some of the Valars Places only for corrupting them. He was the one who revolted against Iluvatar and came to Arda in anger and wished to build his own kingdom of Darkness. He corrupted some of the Maiar and they became the Balrogs.his horrible deeds will be recorded under Melkor.
